1. Darshan Museum
Darshan is not actually a ‘museum’ in the traditional sense of the word. Although it does what every museum does, keeps a memory alive, but in philosophy, it does so through 3D holographics, life-like sculptures, realistic sets, high-def audio, HD video, dramatic lighting and much more. Is done from! Vision is the next step in storytelling.

2. Dagadusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple
There is no crowd in the temple at all. Everything is well managed and clean. There are a lot of shops inside and outside the temple that you can visit. They have adequate security. The only thing to note is that they do not have any designated parking area for the temple as the surrounding area is busy.
3. ISKCON NVCC Temple
Very beautiful spiritual divine experience. This is the Hare Krishna Temple, the official ISKCON temple. Very well managed. Just behind the main temple is the very traditional Tirupati temple. Beautiful place. Must go. The food stalls are very good and affordable to eat at. Free Khichdi Prasad is delicious.
4. Sinhagad Fort
If you are in Pune a visit to the fort is a must…full of history. Get a guide too, otherwise you’ll miss a lot of things. You can reach the top of the hill at the base of the citadel by car. However, there is heavy crowd on weekends and 31 December/long weekend. Once the parking lot is full, traffic is stopped down the hill.
5. Sri Balaji Mandir
Well maintained temple. Beautiful peaceful environment. There is a cowshed here which is well maintained. You can buy cakes from here for your homes or other puja purposes. The temple opens around 5 pm and remains open till 9:30 pm. In the morning it opens only from 6:30 – 7 am and works from 11:30 – 12 pm. You can buy flowers for Prasad from the stall next to the temple.
6. Phoenix Market City
Honix is the best mall in Pune. It is so big that you can easily get lost..haha..parking is huge and you can find almost all brands. One can go shopping, watch movies, buy groceries, kitchen organizer, eat at different restaurants.
7. Laxmi Road
Visited this place in the evening. It’s very crowded but you can find everything you need. Must go only if you want to do some local shopping and know about that shop, otherwise all items are available in all cities of India
8. Katraj Jain Temple
A very beautiful Jain temple with the idol of Lord Mahavira in the main temple. I went in the morning and there were very few devotees there. Felt very peaceful. The surrounding temples had idols of Lord Parvasnath, Shantinath and other Tirthankaras. All the idols were made of five metals and the golden exterior makes them beautiful to look at.
9. Mulshi Dam
Mulshi Dam was constructed in 1927 and is located 35 km away from Pun city and is built against the backwaters of Mula River. This is the major dam which is built on the Mula River. The height of this gravity dam is 50.6 meters and length is 1011 meters. Water from Mulshi Dam is used for irrigation and also to produce electricity at the Bheera Hydroelectric Plant operated by Tata Power which supplies most of the electricity to the city of Mumbai.
10. Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum
Our family trip to Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum in Pune was an unforgettable experience! As soon as we entered, we were mesmerized by the vast array of captivating artifacts and artwork. Our 8-year-old daughter was wide-eyed with wonder as she discovered the rich cultural heritage of India. The museum’s thoughtful organization makes it attractive to people of all ages. The staff was friendly and helpful, adding warmth to the trip. The museum beautifully preserves and displays the artistic heritage of India, making it both educational and entertaining.
